Hello everyone…

As of this morning, we are the proud owners of a 1980 Catalina 25! She looks to be a real beauty, seems that we found a great deal off eBay!

Anyway, the boat is currently tied up in northern Michigan and we would like to move her closer to home for the end of the season. I was wondering if anyone here might have an empty slip around Michigan City/New Buffalo (perhaps you sold your boat recently)?
If so, please drop me a line.

And thank you to all the people on this board who provide such helpful information! I stumbled upon this site today and already have answers to many questions, such as “What kind of stove should I look for?”, etc.

Thanks again!

Brittany

If you did not want to keep it on Lake Michigan. You can always head over to a lake just south of South Bend. Lake Wawasee is a great sailing lake.

That is where we keep our 25.

We will think about that...

My dad has been talking "sailboat" for as long as I can remember-I'm in college now. He grew up on Long Island and sailed a lot before starting a family. I just finished a sailing class (anticipating that he might need a first mate!) and look forward to learning how to handle a bigger boat.

Already ordered the c-25 manual from Catalina Direct. Even if a copy comes with the boat, I'll want my own!

Brittany, I can safely say that if you put your boat on Lake Wawasee at our club...you would have a blast. Its almost a frat/sorority house attitude. Everyones just trying to have some fun!

Its a blast. Just come hang out with us one day or night and go sailing with us...you will love it1
