What is the best way to adjust the Genoa track while under sail? Do I have to temporarily tack to remove the load from the genoa sheet or are there any other tricks that people use out there? Ideally you would want them to be adjustable under load like the main traveler. I know Harken sells a kit with ball bearing cars. Is that a violation of the class rules for C25 racing?
Someone, I'm sure, will detail the rigging of barbour (sp?) haulers for you, but I simply step on the line directly afore the car to relieve the load. It's generally a good idea to have shoes on while doing this and, of course, the strength of the apparent wind plays a role in how difficult this task will be. ;-)
P.s. This is all only relevant to those times when you don't want to, or can't, tack to take the load off the line.
