I need to replace the bow running light on a C250 . I am not near the boat but I know it's made by Hella. Anyone know which model #? Does WM or CD carry it?

Mark, I just looked in the West Marine Catalog, page 694 top left of page is a Hella Combo Masthead/Deck Spreader light...looks like the 250 light on the front of our mast...yikes ready, Price is $49.99.
Half my light ( I call it the anchor locker overhead) has not worked for some time. Since the other half (steaming) works I have not messed with it. Good luck!

Mark,

I just happen to have the remnants of mine in the garage after my lightning strike. The numbers are: Hella, Series 25 TD 3562. There is also a code of: NK 78, NM T-1 below that but I'm not sure what that means.

I could not find one like it in the West catalog but the yard that repaired my boat ordered the parts from CD and according to the bill it was their part number AQS 35123. (At least I think that's the CD part number. Actually, looking at the WM catalog further, AQS appears to be a prefix number for an "Aqua Signal" brand light fixture. On my boat it appears to be a pretty close replacement even though it's not the Hella brand.

Is everyone talking about the same light here? I think Mark is talking about the red and green....

Mark, I am pretty sure all the lights on the 250 are series 25 lights. The nav light for the forward pulpit is on page 695 of the WM catalog: model 174367, manf. part AQSIG 25100-7, $19.99. Hope this helps.

Yes, I'm talking about the bow/pulpit-mounted bi-color nav light (man, what a mouth full). I guess it depends on your model year. As Jerry pointed out, I think the one he mentioned in the WM catalog is the 'replacement' light I now have, however, my original is a Hella and is just a bit different asthetically. Like many other parts, I suppose Catalina changes vendor and/or styles from year to year.

Ha, when you mentioned Hella I thought you were talking about the mast light (that's what brand mine is)
I did replace my bow nav light with one from west marine last year when a pontoon boat backed into mine in my old slip (sure glad it was only his soft high back couch that made contact!). It was an aqua signal (exactly same one Jerry mentions).

Thanks for the info. I just placed my order with CD. Since the whole light is broken and not just the lens, as I had hoped, I wanted to replace with one that was of equal or better specs. The two I saw in WM had such a wide cost difference, I wasn't sure which one to get. The series 25 is the one I ordered. Thanks again.
