Can anybody tell me the birthdate or year(close will do) of a hull # 5878? Cat 25 wing.

If it helps you to narrow it down, my hull #5171 was purchased by the original owner on 7/17/85. Of course that doesn't tell you when it rolled off the assembly line. Interestingly, the price of the boat with engine and options was just under $21,000 (in 1985 dollars). It really pays to buy used!

Go to this web sight's home page and enter the site. Before you enter "forums" go to "links" at the bottom of the page. (Before you enter the forum).
Farther down the page is a section called "Reference". One of the links is to "Guide to translate Hull Numbers".

CATALINA VERIFIED THE DATE OF MFG FOR MS ACHSA. HULL NR 77, PRODUCED
IN 1977. THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU ALL THE INFO REGARDING ALL
OPTIONS THAT WERE PURCHASED WITH THE BOAT AND WHAT THE SPECS WERE WHEN SHE CAME OFF THE LINE.
