I used 5200 to hopefully seal a leak in my coaming cubby today. The tube said cures 5-7 days, good above and below water line. How long before I can perform a hose/water test to see if I fixed the leak? Can I do it before the 5-7 days?? Thanks.

I certainly wouldn't be afraid to 'flood' test it after a couple days... it's not soluble in water.

Moisture, in fact, helps speed the curing process.

Could this explain why it seemed to take a week or more in warm, very dry Arizona conditions?

Maybe, although, in "normal" humidity it takes about a week to ten days to fully cure. I think the instructions mention adding moisture if the weather is dry.
