Just got back from a great fall sail. My honey and I had dinner on the boat. We anchored out and we were talking about how nice it would be to have a small table in the cockpit. She suggested we use one of the hatch boards and put it between the cockpit seats and under the cushions...worked great for snacks and drinks. Any body have any other suggestions.
I'm going to assume you have a tiller. I have an Edson wheel in my boat, and the cockpit table I made attaches to the wheel pedestal guard. If it turns out you also have a wheel, I can give you details about my cockpit table later.
Anyway, I saw this table idea somewhere ... it really struck me as a cool idea, and a fairly easy woodworking project, so I saved the picture. It is a little grainy, but you can get the idea:
