Can't help myself guys....recognize the man in the middle? (In case you're wondering, I'm the ugly one on the left.....the guy on the right is a contractor friend of mine.)
My buddy did a (nice) roofing job for the unofficial king of the Les Paul fan club. That gentleman invited my friend and a friend (me) out to NYC, and got us comped into the Iridium club, where Les plays every Monday. At 89 the man is sharp as a tack, has a great sense of humor, and still plays a mean guitar, in spite of his quintuple bypass 20 years ago, and the ongoing cripling arthritis. He is truly an inspiration.
Anyway, after the gig we got smuggled through the kitchen to the "Green Room" where we talked to Les for a little while, and got our picture taken.
Indeed his contributions were instrumental () in the development of the electric guitar. He is also credited with inventing reverb and multitrack recording. I also learned last night that a mr Fender used to come over to his house in CA to pick his brain.....

Dale Hollow (non TVA) and Noris are both north central Tenn. Here is a link of TVA lakes. If you want more info on the lakes I mentioned e-mail me. I can get you more details. www.tva.gov/sites/sites_ie2.htm Very western KY/Tenn are KY lake and Cumberland lakes both big. Need extra crew? Norris is 4 hours away! Road trip! Cool picture BTW
