not sure of the spelling. i just had my marina install my harken single line reefing system and they said i should get a jackline becasue some of the grommets are in the way??? or i should remove some things from the sail so the system will work better??? no idea. please help!
The slides that are directly connected to the sail between the tack and the reef grommet will prevent the reef grommet from being pulled down tight to the gooseneck. Those slides need to be hung on a line that goes through the original slide shackle and down to a grommet in the sail that tightens up and holds the sail and slide together when the sail is fully hoisted. You may need one or two jack lines depending on how deep your reef is. Dave
