Hi there,
Every so often I see a reference to a discount available to Catalina 25 association members from various merchants. However, I'm just not sure who they are, and how one obtains these discounts. I believe I have seen discounts on Boat US memberships.

Does anybody know just what we can get?
Maybe we should list them all somewhere.

Also, I saw a link on one of the other Catalina association's websites a link to Sailnet, I believe, and if you follow it to make a purchase, a certain percentage goes to the association. That would be a good thing for us.

Come on up and join the Long Island Sound Catalina Association... They have a discount on BoatUS membership and an annual after-hours discount night at a West Marine in the area.

But ya' gotta be a member to do that (check out TellTale) and Frank ya' gotta be a member to sail in Nationals, and I think I remember you saying something a month or so ago about bring your 25 to Wichita. (In case you are thinking about dropping your membership.)

No, I'm not thinking of dropping my membership at all. This is the best 20 bucks you can spend on sailing, and if we ever needed more bucks to support the association, I would pay it.

What prompted my question is the posting of a rude message over the weekend (which Spike deleted thankfully) and in the past there were some rude postings.

As far as racing goes, I don't know squat about racing, and would probably be in the way. Besides, I would probably want to fire up the grill, cook burgers and blend up some frozen margaritas anyways.
