you have to up load it to a web site and then post the url of the picture. This forum uses linked pictures so the server doesn't get full, it is a very smart system. You ISP should have web space for you to up load to. I use cox for single pictures and .mac for albums and movies.
Here's another shot of the Naval Station there. Unfortunately, that is the Big Cat jammed under the side of the ramp...mainsail torn off. Boom out at 80 degrees, RIB ripped loose...it doesn't look good! Derek
'Thought everyone might want to see the full photo instead of the thumbnail ... 'hope you don't mind, Derek.
I sure hope the "Big Cat" didn't sustain a lot of damage ... it doesn't look good . One thing is certain ... if she's OK, she's built like a tank ... I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Steve, I don't think that there were any liveaboards there. A lot of the larger boats are owned by retired officers. They are not allowing non-essential personnel onto the base yet. Derek
On Monday I will post some pics of my boat and others boat in my marina. I lost my mast and motor and will have to paint the boat it is in real bad shape but I hope to have it ready to sail as soon a I get a mast. So if any one has a mast I will need one bad. I had a lot of friends that lost everything homes and boat. I have pics and will post on Monday
Is that the old PBY ramps by McDonald's and the OCS drill deck or at the Bayou Grande Marina? Hope you get your boat back in shape soon and happy to hear you came through okay. Hope all faired as well. Sid
I just returned from Pensacola yesterday from checking on my boat at Pensacola Shipyard Marina. I was one of the lucky one's, one of 3 boats that came through unscratched. Here is a shot of a 40 something Beneteau (I believe) that has never seen the water, it was brand new and being commissioned, note the shrink wrap on the steering pedeistal.
