Friday night Oct.1 Spend the night aboard and head for the 9 mile bank (and beyond) at dawn Sat. Local tuna bite. Dolphins. Could be the last shot at yellow fin this season. Make sure fuel tanks are full. Should have a good sail but be prepared to motor at least 20 miles (9 mile bank - out and back plus reserve). Weather permitting.

All this week is "Fleet Week" we could go tour an active-duty USN Ageis Cruiser.

Some Friday or Saturday night in La Playa cove, lunch in Coronado Island, race back? Just say when.

Fleet 7 - remember Oct. 1 is the beginning of lobster season. Be careful, bouys will be out starting at midnight!

Saturday Oct. 16 7 am - 1 pm is the Chula Vista Marina marine swap meet. This is a GREAT chance to get some much needed gear at pennies on the dollar. In the past, I have bought anchors, chain, shackles, wet suits for $5, oars, fishing gear. I sold a dinghy, outboard motor and other stuff. The good deals go early! I used to keep my big boat there. We can ride over in my van.

Other ideas?

Let me know if you're interested.

Tour an Aegis class cruiser?...Heck, I lived on one for a few years!

With all the activities going on out your way, I may just have to rethink my choice of areas in which to settle.
