Neat dinghy....ask seller what it weighs.....my Walker Bay is very light, and dragging it around costs about a half to a whole knot of boat speed, even behind the 42.
It may in fact be a Dyer, but it looks a lot like my Boston Whaler Squall, except for the rig....mine is a sprit rig. The ding(h)y is great to row....okay to sail, very stable and roomy. Problem: the weight. It is a man/person killer to move on land, but towed, it tracks well and really does not slow down my boat much at all...but then I have a 9.9 Yamaha OB. Great dinghy once it is in the water! I have not weighed it, but the manual says 130 #. I would guess it at significantly more than that!
Its very heavy, full keeled, I've got a mast for it but no rigging, sail, leeboard, or rudder. Its fiberglass over foam core. I could take a photo of the bottom.
I'd like to find out what kind of boat it was. Perhaps I'll turn it into a sailboat.
I spent about 100 hours restoring this boat. I really like it but its too heavy to tow. Max speed under power was about 4.5 knots.
