Folks, I am thinking of shrink wrapping my boat this year as it will save me considerable cash and travel time vs the barn from last year. It does get below freezing for extended periods of time here, and I certainly know how to prep the boat for that, but it seems I have heard a horror story somewhere that had to do with unvented shrink wrapping. Has anyone out there had any experience with shrink wrap? Upside? Downside? Recommendations? Thanks, Willy
I have covered my C250 with a 25x18 tarp purchased from West Marine three years ago. Thirty some dollars. The advantage is air is moving through the underside and you do have access to the cabin. Usually a good thirty degrees warmer in the cabin. Tied down with bungee cords to the trailer. Never had a problem with moisture or mildew. Kept snow off with my infamous snow rake. Just my input Willy.
