I'm not sure what all has transpired over the past 48 hours or so, except that the TellTale editor got a nasty email from someone who accesses this site and some of our Officers have resigned. Most people do not realize the work involved in supporting a not for profit orginazation (the pay is low (non existant)and the thanks is about the same). These fine people have done a great job of supporting us and furthering our sport, and we owe them much more thanks than we are capible of giving them.
We must have a malcontent or two in our midst that are trying to drive a wedge in our organization and we need to have a way of putting s stop to them. Our by-laws need to have a clause in them, and a process to refund money and ban access to people who are deemed a menace.
Perhaps we should just publish all of these "emails" on the site. I joined to learn about sailing and how others handle boating situations, particularly those associated with a boat similar to mine. The site has been an excellent resource and presents a wide variety of experience and support for all sailors. I appreciate all the ideas, modifications, and suggestions "donated" by members.
I'm happy as a carp in a septic tank. What's not to be happy about here?
For what it's worth, we recently had a malcontent doing his best to create an atmosphere of dissention, conflict and mistrust into the Board of our 1200 unit Homeowner's Association. After the initial reaction, the official stance was to completely ignore the guy and his email rantings. Not long after, he sold his house and moved somewhere else.
Perhaps if this C25/250 malcontent is ignored, they'll move on too. With any luck, they'll buy a Hunter.
here we go all of the sybject of partnership. who in todays world wants more conflict? this is a sailing forum not congress or the war. your right: lighten up!!!!.
the rule of 80/20 20% do the work and 80% ride for free. 20% will complain no matter what.
guys this is about sailing. not about who's ---- is the longest. lets refocus our energies to go things
just my thoughts dave holtgrave 5722 sk/tr sailing carlyle lake in southern illinois
ps. we have had difficult times getting this association to organize a national event in the past. i believe the kansas crew has outperformed already.they have invited and kept us engerized and focused to a grand rebirth of our championship and class.
for you that want to stop this and poison our association i would suggest your manners would be more appropricate in a motorboat.the kind that fail to start. there you can destroy without harming others energy
This is a terrific forum. This forum is responsible for my single-mindedness in shopping for a C25-250. A couple of months ago, I was shopping for a boat, now I'm shopping for a C25.
I have yet to experience anything but positives.
My thanks to all who take the time and expend the effort to make this the best sailing site on the internet. (I've looked at them all)
I also look forward to being able to contribute in a meaningful way, and to repay you all for the invaluable information.
Success in any organization is measured in-part by numbers. It stands to reason that with significant numbers, there's going to be a few members that detract instead of adding.
The whole thing has blown over and everyone has put the situation behind them. This is a stressful time, for the nation, economy, and our Association. Apologies have been offered and accepted by all sides. Lets not dredge up any bad feelings.
Its time to make nominations, and to vote for new officers.

Thanks to all who have had the courage and maturity to make amends. Now let's all get back to our usual sailing chit-chat.

I will say that although I may have known something about sailing before encountering this forum, the knowledge and assistance I've found here floored me to the point that I signed up for membership less than two months after finding this site, and am sorry I took so long. Stow the naysayers!
