'caus I know there will be plenty of reaction on this one.....(OK, it's slightly off topic, but at least it's still "boating" related....

That's a mighty attractive bikini you have on today Mrs. Woods.
BTW, Mr. Woods would you mind signing my PFD while we're aboard?

Sorry to hear Tiger's honeymoon was interrupted. Did anybody else catch the fact that we may now be required to give the Coast Guard a 4 day warning before we come back into the States from Vancouver Island? We stopped at Roche Harbor to go through customs this past summer and I didn't notify anybody that I was coming. 'course I am just on a 26 year old C25.

If you're worried about re-entry, just put your boat and yourself in a cargo container. You have a 95% probability of not being inspected.

Does this new regulation, 4-day advance notice- apply to ALL vessels? Only Foreign flagged vessels? Only Large vessels? I have also heard a rumor that US Citizens cruising in the Gulf Islands/Desolation Sound area have been hasseled at Roche Harbor when re-entering the US if they have only a birth certificate and don't have a full passport (which has not been "required" to visit Canada or Mexico in the past).

I knew where this would go. Your tax dollars at work ladies and gentlemen...making the waters safer, protecting the homeland. Something tells me this is costing us millions, as the average (foreign) Joe will not bother visiting us anymore. (Dutch) Friends of mine cruising the Carribean went to a consulate to inquire about visiting the US to come and see me, and were given such grief that they gave up on the idea.

I bet the terrorists are shaking in their boots......

No wonder he's dropping in the rankings!
I wonder, does she get to keep the yacht when they get divorced?

Imagine being pent up on that miserable yacht with Elin for a whole day while the government sorts out your papers! It must have been awful!

Nice to hear that from someone at the front of the plane (left seat, even). When this paunchy, balding, middle-aged white male is told to take his boat shoes off so they can be x-rayed, I bite my tongue bloody to refrain from asking, "Do I really fit the profile?"

According to one article this regulation only applies to boats of 300 tons or more. Tiger's, er, Mrs. Wood's boat is somewhere around 488 tons.

John, thank you for refreshing my memory. You are correct.

It's better this way, my friend. Too close to being political. Now if you'll quit disturbing me, I'm gonna sit here, tilt my head back, close my eyes and make believe Elin has a secret fantasy about sailing away in a small, classic sailboat with a retiree on a fixed income.

My wife says those aren't real and it won't last, although I think I detected a hint of "life's not fair" in the tone of her comment.

Tiger's not too hard to look at either.
By the way, saliva is pretty corrosive on keyboards. So you guys better quit drooling over Elin.

Your wife's wrong. They're real.
Anything you can see, hear, taste, or touch is real.

I know I've seen some pretty real looking halluci...never mind.

Okay, anything you can hear, taste, or touch is real.
I know that's what the voices in my head say...okay, forget that one.

Anything you can taste, or touch is real.
I know I was so close to winning I could taste it. That wasn't real.

Okay, anything you can touch is real.
I know I'll never get to touch 'em. Doh!

Your wife's right - they're not real.
