Writting from first hand experiance I bought one of these units on Ebay at the begining of this season and found it to have four to five inches less travel than the stock unit that came on my 87 fin keel. Decided to get a new replacement from Garhauer, I could have had them rebuild the one that I had but decided it was just easier to buy a new one outright. Great unit and worth every dollar.
