Aye! But I've my own boat, and she'd nae forgive me for making her miss a perfect late season weekend. <s>Three</s> [Edit - lousy rain and hail] Two days of perfect wind and perfect temperatures! Yahoo!!! I'll definitely get up to Wichita to take that sail sometime, though.

Hey Frank, what is the website for that weather service? I like the looks of it more than the ones I'm using now.

as i was reading this post a school bus went by my window.
i was thinking with an 80% chance for rain tomorrow i should stop the busand offer the driver cashto takemeto your lake.
here's my question.
i am starting in highland illinois. about 40 mileseast of the cardinals that won last nite.
is there anyone else that would like to go.
if so, let me know where you live andi will tell the driver.
after youget on the bus have another person tell you where he lives andsoon.
remember we need to be in kansas tomorrow moring to go sailing.

i'm bored and having a slow day, can you tell?

This is really hard to back up on and figure out how to start fresh. The actual site url that generates this is...
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ifps/gridpoint.php?site=ict
You have to use the drop down menu right above the little rainbow to select the hourly weather graph.

Looking at your Noa site, I don't believe you have the same product availbale. I think as close as you are going to come is
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/afos/rdsiln.txt
and that is reached by choosing "point forecast matrix" from here
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/public.htm

here is another interesting one

Fresh start:
NOAA
Type in City, ST and hit Go
On your city's (or region's) forecast page look for the box on the right toward the bottom titled
"Additional Forecasts & Information" and then look for the link titled "Hourly Weather Graph".
Not all cities have this function available, such as Cincinnati and Columbus.

JB, I tried it for Tulsa and got the page to choose which graphs you want but could go no farther. Where do get yours from?

Hey Charlie,

I just ran through it again and it worked fine. Your comment "page to choose which graphs you want" has me confused, are you referring to the toggles at the top that determine what data gets graphed? Here's the graphical forecast for Tulsa and Fort Smith.

P.s. Here's a view of early fall sailing on Grand Lake from two weeks ago. I can't wait to see the colors this weekend.

Your link takes me to the page I was talking about but after I hit submit it just refreshes that page.
Beautiful pics! I forgot my digital last weekend but I won't today!

The promt function failed at first, (I must have typed over something) it was scary wasn't it, reply to the post and you will see the URL. Wichita is a very cool place for weather. If you watch fronts you will see that most stop their movement and reverse around Wichita. All year long fronts from all directions dance around our area, weather men love it here.

Frank - I'll sail with you to Day and even to Night (they're just down the shore from each other) but I promised my wife I'd never sail to Morrow.

I sailed all day yesterday, took these pictures Friday evening, and woke up today to building wind that gave me time to air up my trailer tires, tighten the bearings on one wheel, check the brakelines (where I found a loose fitting AGAIN) and repair one of the tail lights.

Nice photos, Frank! Lake Cheney looks like a pretty place to have a boat.
