I need information on how to attach a dodger to a Catalina 25 that has a pop top. Appears that the dodger will get in the way of the opening, and <font face="Andale Mono"></font id="Andale Mono"> or not provide enough weather protection or stability if less firmly attached.

A dodger can be made with two zippers in the windshield right at the edges of the pop-top. When you want to pop, just unzip and flip or roll up the center section. That also gives you the option of some air coming through in warm weather.

Another option shown recently on this forum, and which I might do, is to add detachable, wrap-around windshhield to a bimini, where the bimini extends partway over the cabintop. That gives you more shade than most dodgers, and reasonable weather protection (if you're not crashing through 8-foot breakers). A search on "bimini" will probably find it. WAIT--Don already found it for you.

Here's a variation on what has been mentioned. You can see the extra set of snaps on the aft edge of the companionway hatch to firmly attach the dodger to when the hatch is open. We don't use the poptop ever, but as mentioned, if the zippers are in the right place you should be able to do it.
