I know this isn't sailing related but I thought it may be it of interest to some of you who are interested in photography. (Since we love photos of our boats!) Its http://www.pbase.com/. Besides being a site to store and dispay your photos, though I believe they do have a charge for this, they have a great forum pretty much like this one. They are very friendly and helpful and have a passion for photography as much as we have here for sailing. I just purchased a Canon 20d, (my Christmas present to myself!) but before I did I read through the pbase forum to research any problems which might occur with that model. I never had to post any questions (not that I won't ever have to!) because all my questions had been asked and answered to my satisfaction. Kinda like here! Anyway its a great place to go to get any of your photography questions answered and I highly recomend it.

I have also read the reviews on the Canon 20D with great interest; it looks like about the most "bang-for-your-buck" in a digital camera at the moment. I have a Minolta 7I, and when I get ready for my next big vacation trip - probably a San Juans/Gulf Islands cruise, or the C25 Nationals, next summer - I will probably pick up a 20D and use the Minolta 7I as a "backup" camera. Only problem is that all my lenses, from 3 decades of film photography, are Minolta "MC/MD" mount and so are not compatible with either Nikon or Canon camera bodies.
