I saw in the sail washing forum that it was mentioned to wash sunbrella in Ivory snow and water... I bought a Catalina 25 Logo from Sailboatlogos.com (former Catalina 25 owner)to have it sewn on the sail cover. I want to wash the sail cover and have a boat tarp cover that needs washed. I am in Fresh water. How about Ivory Snow in the bath tub than over the clothes line? . With "Leprechaun" on the hard Alan & Eileen

The official Sunbrella recipe is Ivory soap 1/4 cup / gallon of <100 F water or 1/2 cup non chlorine bleach and 1/4 cup soap /Gallon <100 F water for heavy duty cleaning. DO NOT USE DETERGENTS and DO NOT SUBJECT TO EXCESSIVE HEAT. From Sunbella sample card Dave

Alan,
If you go to the Sunbrella web site, they have extensive instructions for cleaning and treating the fabric as well as instructions for stain removal. I found it very useful for not only my boat canvas but the Sunbrella awnings on my house.
