We are changing the docks on our lake to fixed platforms from floaters, and all the boats are going to have to get lifts or docking posts. Any ideas on adequate lifts for a C25 sk? I know I will have to get at least a 6000lb lift, but I wonder about any special hints about specifications.

I hate this idea, but it looks like the price to sail with the rest of the boats at our club, and its the only lake access that we have.

Tom - "This Side Up" has been on an old style 6,000lb Hydro-Hoist for about 10 years with no problems other than routine maintenance.
It sure makes it easy to scrub the keel before racing (in the Summer, of course!)

A brand new Hydro Hoist went under a 260 last summer. It had the new poly-whatever tanks and the swing arm action. It has been very impressive to watch. If a person has to or gets to buy one they can rest assured they work really well.

Thanks for the information on the hydrohoist system. We have some rough water at our docks. Two to three foot chop when there is a heavy wind from the southeast. Are these things stable in this kind of chop?

I will have about 60 inches of water most of the time. I have a swinger, so that means I have 22 inches max to the bottom. How deep is a sunken hydro hoist? Glad to know that 6000lbs is adequate, though. That's what I was thinking.
