Here in North Texas we had 74 degrees and 10-15 out of the south. We took 4 guests out and sailed the whole length of the lake (Grapevine) on two tacks with an average boat speed of 5.7 knots.
The guests won the sail from our church when we auctioned off the first sail of the year for a fundraiser. We warned that the weather could be uncomfortable, but we were rewarded with excellent sailing!

Sounds like the same kinda weather we had yesterday. Wish I was back out there again today because the weather was great here all day. Congratulations on the good weather and the good sail to boot! I hope your guests enjoyed themselves. I've often thought about giving a sailing excursion for charity but have always worried that whoever won it wouldn't really enjoy it. (Or I would scare them so much they would never want to try it again!) It's a great idea, you get to do something you love while benefiting a charity, plus introducing someone to the joys of sailing. Its a win win situation.
