It rained a little yesterday morning. When the weather cleared I went down to the boat to do a some sailing. While in the cabin I noticed just a couple of drops of water running down the mast support post in the cabin. Just a couple of drops, not much but enough to concern me. Has anyone experienced a leak here?

Tom....I've experienced the same few drops. After rebedding the support, the drops continued... I discovered that they were actually coming in the vhf connector that I added and then migrating over and coming down the support.

I'd check out the mast lighting connector...make sure it is capped and any vhf connector before I would pull the mast support to rebed it.

An interesting thing about the mast wiring... the jacket on the wire makes it great conduit and the water could actually be coming from the top of the mast.

Thanks Arlyn, I had not thought of the mast light plug. I'll re-bed that first. I don't think its condensation, but I haven't ruled that out, however I don't see any drops on the chain plate rods.

We had a similar leak to Arlyn's that showed up as drops of water in the halogen light over the table. Rebedded the VHF plug-in & no problems since.
