I am a new sailor, currently sailing a West Wight Potter 15'. I have become very comfortable with this size boat, but would love to get into something a little bigger. I want to spend weekends out on the water. I need the boat to be trailerable and easy to rig and sail solo as well.
Is the c250 water ballast the boat Iam looking for? Love the look of it.
The c250 w/b is easy to settup, launch and retrieve single handed except in a cross wind. It has enough space for coastal crusing both in crew space for two adults or a young family as well as for upgrades to additional water or holding tank space.
I soloed mine for a hundred mile crossing of Lake Huron a summer ago. Staying on the boat is no problem...esecially with the all weather pop top cover that provides standing head room at the galley.

Thanks for the reply. I will be attending some upcoming boatshows in my area to learn more about the c250, but it seems like a good fit. A challenge for sure though. I looked at some of your mods you have made on your boat and will surely revisit them if I indeed get a c250. My time frame would be summer 2005 if all works out. Thanks again and good sailing.
