We are moving the electrical panel above the starboard settee (like Not Yet http://www.catalina25-250.org/tech/tech25/nypanel.html but definitely not as nice looking).

Two questions:

Does anyone know how deep the shelf is behind the starboard settee at the aft end? I forgot to measure the depth and I want to prepare some parts at home.

If you look at NY's panel, the back panel seems to be mounted at the top and bottom. I assume I do not want to screw or bolt into the outer hull at that point. Am I correct?

Thanks for the help.

I don't know the depth of the shelf off hand - probabley 4-5 inchesa at most.

You don't want to screw into the hull. Use glue and fiberglass matt to install the cabinet.
