Spent the day hooking up the VHF to the GPS in order to get the DSC working.
We now have a new 250 in Lake Lanier, I watched her being launched yesterday. The new owner invited me down for a tour, it was the first inboard that I have seen. Pretty neat setup.
No plans or kits just a little eyeballing and carpenter square, jig saw and a drill. Its pretty simple to make. Just trace the bottom of the Depthfinder/GPS mounting bracket on a length of board sturdy enough to handle the weight and use. I used some scrap teak. Then make the arm length just long enough to swing and clear the companionway. Make up a mounting bracket using the same size and thickness of the arm. I used a 1/4" bolt with a wing nut to tighten or loosen the hinge as needed. I also bolted this through the bulkhead instead of using screws. Here's another shot, pictures are worth a thousand words.
