Have found a great deal on a Catalina 25 in California, but the trailer's in dismal shape to transport back to AZ.
Would love to find the complete package closer to home, but willing to travel a bit...
Anyone want to sell their trailer or boat and trailer (reasonably)?
Thanks

I think you will find that the people who frequent this incredibly active web site are people who are seeking technical advise on how to put their boats in the very best of condition, often better than new. It will be difficult to find an association boat that would sell for less than book value. (And worth every penny of it.) There are many wonderful deals to be had out there but most if not all will be boats that will need several thousand dollars invested in them.
Most trailers need a lot of work to make them road safe. Typically new tires, rims, brakes, and rollers. $400-$800 to fix up a trailer is common. You may have already found your deal. Good luck and come back often, this is an amazing place when you need answers and just to talk to other 25 owners.

I do appreciate the advise...did you think I was insulting or something in my description? Sorry if that's the case. I'm seeing a lot of 25's out there, mostly without trailers, that are way out of that reasonable ballpark. Have always enjoyed the website and figured I'd throw the thought out there. It is a "swap meet", right?
A couple of years ago I sold my '80 Catalina FK/SR via your website to a local sailor who seemed very happy with my "reasonable deal". I had installed new trailer wiring and tires; cleaned the boat from stem to stern (whent the wife came onboard, she said "I don't have to do a thing to this one!!!") Even threw in originally mentioned amenities after dropping the price $1000 and having no bites for a few weeks after listing. An old salt I know made a significant point once, that too often people put their personal feelings into their selling price - adding way beyond what's reality. Of course, I don't expect something for nothing. I just sold a '70 Catalina 22 to one of the officers of the National racing organization via eBay. He seemed happy, as well. My happiness will be complete when I move back into a 25. My current '86 Catalina 22 is nice, but I miss the room.

No your request was very apropriate, I just wanted to characterize the boats on this forum for you. It sounds like you know what you are doing and I sure hope you find the right boat and come home.
