The seller is hoping for an opening bid of $200,000.00 for this boat. I emailed them and suggested that surely they didn't mean $200,000.00, did they? The response was, "Yes." Perhaps there's $190,000.00 in cash hidden under one of the settees that would make this worth $200 grand?
They won't tell you where the boat is located, so you can look at it before you bid on it. They expect the bidders to trust them, based on their written description! Amazing!
Perhaps it is like an aquitance of mine, who, every time he and his wife have a big fight, puts their business up for sale at about 4-5 times what it is worth!
Is this a joke? The sellers name, "Boat Angle Ministries", sounds a little sketchy. Did you also notice their comments about their private feedback. Scary.
Do you think if I bid $200,000.00, they would waive the $99.00 processing fee?
What's really strange is that this is the same seller that I bought my '87 C25 through and I got a great deal on what turned out to be a great boat - for about $197,400 less than $200,000.00. Don't know why they insist on being goofy about this Island 30.
The most expensive [url="http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/cache/pl_search_results.jsp?blc=3904&manc=160&uom=126&type=(Sail)&duom=126&sm=3&wuom=126&ywbtc=23726&luom=126&toLength=30¤cyid=100&ps=100&fromLength=30&man=islander&slim=quick&ps=100&searchPage=%2Flisting%2Fcache%2Fboats_for_sale_qs.jsp&so=4&slim=quick¤cy=USD&units=Feet¤cyid=100&"]Islander 30 on Yachtworld[/url] is an 83' for $36,500.00.
I think what's going on is the owner "donated" this $6K yacht to the ahem,"ministry" so he could take a $200000 deduction on you know what. Tis the season! LEMME HEAR A BIG AMEN, PRAISE THE LORD". Oh and pass the ammunition too.

A little farther down the list is an 82' for $17,500. I'd be willing to go one year older to save $19,000!
