For those of you still not convinced of the utitity of the rigid boom vang, there is an article in the April issue of Sailing magazine which explains there use, describes the current equipment available, and lists the manufacturers.

They do not specifically mention the quick release model that Garhuer makes for the Catalina 25 pop-top. Suffice it to say that they do make one that works. All you have to do is call them and tell them you need one for a C25 and it's in the mail. Garhuer it seems, is the only company that makes a rigid vang for the Catalina 25 with a pop- top.
