Regarding the C-250 Tech tip about drilling near the aft bulkhead sill to drain water accumulation:

http://www.catalina25-250.org/tech/tech250/dry.html

I tried to drill as the drawing advised, but found there is a fiberglas covered wood stringer (balsa?) where the aft bulkhead is attached. after carefully going as far as I could I still could not observe any light coming from the hole or from the bilge. (NO, I didn't go through the hull! )

Any thoughts on this?

My boat was built in August 2004.

I could not figure this out either.........so I laid down in the aft area during a wicked rain storm last weekend for about an hour and found the leaks and fixed them.
The rear speakers cables coming thru were not completely sealed.
Now,looking back, that was what I should have done in the first place, look for the problem.
