In the list of C25 owners elsewhere on this site, hulls #1977 and #1988 are both 1980 models, so yours would be too. You have the distinction of owning the only C25 ever built with a hull number that matches the year model.
I ALSO HAVE A SIMILAR SITUATION MY 1977 FK, IS HULL NUMBER 77. ONE OF THE FEW WHERE THE HULL NUMBER AND THE LAST TWO OF THE YEAR ARE THE SAME. JOHN ON MS ACHSA
Don, Thanks for the link to the HIN site. I have a running battle with BoatUS over the model year of my C25. The last 4 digits of my hull number are M788, which according to the link shows it as a 1978 model. BoatUS insists it is a 1988 model. The only problem I foresee is if I ever have to claim a loss and they claim I was dishonest with my facts they will probably deny the claim. At least I have some ammunition to back up my stance now. I just renewed my insurance and crossed through all 1988 designatiojns and inserted 1978. I'll be ready when they call. Joe
thanks for all the input about our new boat, i wonder what the chances of texas parks and wildlife are of resurrecting the same tx1980 regisitration number are? I'll update when i talk to them. that would really be something if i can pull it off. jerry
Look on the starboard side of the transom just under the rub rail and there is the entire hull ID number. I only found it this week after thinking that the metal tag inside the cockpit was the entire number.
