My boat is on the hard while doing blister repair. Decided to check out the batteries, one of which seemed a little weak at the end of last year. Batteries are definitely low now after not being on charge.
Figured it might be nice to hook up to shore power somehow or other. Is shore power typically 120 or 220? I know that big yellow cable won't fit in any outlets around my house without some kind of adapter. Or is there some other simple way to put power to the system?
Tom, Generally boats like ours are 110v. The large round plug is most likely a 30amp connector. There are adaptor connectors available to reduce to a regular 15 amp three prong connection like in your house. I picked one up at West Marine, kind of expensive there though. You might try a RV supplier also.
