Any suggestions on where to mount a Honda 2000 generator? I'll be plugging the generator into my shore power connector.

I planned to place on the rear of the starboard cockpit seat. Port has a gas tank under it. By placing at the back the exhaust is just over the edge of the stern.

Ideally I'd like to hang it off the stern. Maybe make a removable tray...

A lot of people like the Garhauer Hoist/lift/davit. You could probably hang it off the transom with one.

I've seen other folks hang their generators off the the boom. Isolates vibration (and noise)... you could swing the boom out to the side a bit and really get it out of the way. (well, as much as you can on a C25 anyway)

Booms a good idea. Are these generators effected by rain?

Most sailors just put them on the tower.

Hmmm... a real nice looking addition there... I think the boom on our boats comes back a little too far though, won't clear the forward tower support. ;>)

I put mine out in the inflatable and use an extention cord. Realt though. The Catalina I use to have had the stern cockpit drains. The Honda 1000 has a 1/2 exaust tube same size as some of the copper pluming pipe. I put the generator in the stern area and ran an exaust extention out the cockpit drain. Never never leave the gen set running unattended.

How about in the garage back home, waiting for the next big snow storm?

Before the tower is installed, you have to let them know whether you prefer a permanent port or starboard tack.
