Found a "new" C25, but want to install a vanity where the wet locker is-across from the head. If anyone has a vanity they've removed and would like to sell, please let me know.
Thanks!

Keep the hanging locker. You will appreciate it more than the sink that was there originally. I am planning on removing my sink but not in the next couple of months. Too much snow on the ground yet to work on the boat. If you're interested anyway email me.

Wish I had the locker instead of the sink, which I have never used and most likely never will.

Just removed my vanity sink and put in a locker. I will give you the sink and counter top (no fiddle or whale pump) if you will pay the shipping from central Washington state.

My PO took out the galley sink to maximize counter space there. I use my vanity sink in lieu.

Or, as the British say, "in the loo in lieu."

Tony -

Did you build a locker or are they available? Can't find one listed in the Catalina Direct catalog.

Am I correct that removing the vanity in the head also removes the need for a thru-hull under the v-berth - assuming one has a porta-potti and not a marine head?

Steve-
I built it. I bought a louvered door from Thai Teak Marine on the web and picked up some teak on e-bay. I will post some photos as I get it finished.

I would like to see any pics of lockers too.
Don't see using the sink often but I can't think of removing it unless I see something I like. I do like the thought of washing your hands in a different sink other than the galley though (after using the loo).

I found a shot of the factory-installed hanging locker ... maybe it will give y'all some ideas of how to install one in lieu of the vanity with sink. 'Seems to me that it's just a matter of removing the sink & countertop, then installing a hanging bar and cleaning things up a bit ... 'not sure though, since I've not seen the factory-installed vanity up close and personal.

Here is the photo I dug up ... I added the teak book rack to the front (it's really a binocular holder):

BTW ... I've never missed having a sink there ... I keep a container of sanitary wipes in the head to use for cleaning hands.

I will try to post pictures this coming weekend. I didn't build a hanging locker, but extended the original shelf that was behind the sink closer to the front of the cabinet. We bought a 15x15 louvered door from Thai Teak and framed around that then installed the top of the cabinet just under the portlight with the fiddle from the old shelf.

Wow guys!! Thanks for the feedback!
I'm a single gal sailor and used to have a C25 without a vanity and vowed I'd have one on my next boat!! It's a girl thing, I guess?
In response to Tony in WA-any chance you can email a shot of the vanity? If it works, I'll gladly pay shipping, etc.
Thanks!
