What a sad way to end a day of sailing. I hope he had a salvage-cost rider on the boat's insurance policy. It could cost a ton of $$$ to pick the boat up off of those rocks with a crane if it turns out that she can't be floated off on her own bottom for some reason. There's no way the authorities will allow the wreck to just sit there abandoned; in fact the Coast Guard and BCDC are probably already asking the owner pointed questions about how long it will take to have the wreck site cleared: "The sooner the better, and no later than the day after tomorrow", or something similar.
