We just bought a used pop top cover but CD doesn't sell the snaps to install on the boat, I don't know what I am looking for or where to buy these snaps. Do they come on a strap to be glued down to the boat or do I buy them individualy and screw them on to the deck?

Also, we took off the old wooden pad for o/b bracket and was wondering what kind of wood should we use or if we should use starboard instead (how thick)?

West Marine and hardware stores sell snap kits. Catalina Direct sells plastic pads for the O/B bracket.

Probably goes without saying but if you go to the hardware store make sure you get stainless steel snaps. The ones my PO installed for a companionway cover were not SS.
