I'm finally getting around to redoing my C25 windows and wish to remove old duct tape and residue where I had applied my very temporary fix. What's the best way?
Thanks,
Jack

I have a solution for the duct tape residue. Not sure about any other residue. Bestine (rubber cement thinner) works quite well. Good luck.

WD-40 also takes off many kinds of sticky stuff. And it shouldn't melt the plexiglass.

Just did a quick test.
I have a piece of furniture in the garage that had the doors strapped closed with tape.
Removed a piece of the tape.
Tried to clean the residue with WD40 - Smells like WD40 - failed :(
Tried to clean with Rubbing Alcohol - Smells like bad vodka - failed
Tried to clean with 'Goop' (the orange flavor) - Smells good, but failed.
Tried to clean with Silicone lubricating spray (it was handy) - success! (Smells notalot)

Unless your boat is in the driveway (or you live on the dock) then I would suggest testing it for yourself as your experience (tape, surface, length of stay) may differ.

Whatever you use, unless it has a natural base (citrus etc.) then make sure the cabin is well vented if you are working inside. (but I guess the tape is on the outside.)

I use "Goof Off" as my everything remover. It really does a number on rub rails.

I third the "Goof Off" suggestion. That stuff takes off all sorts of sticky messes.
