Just wondering if anyone has added a traveler to their 250WB, where they installed it, does the boat sail closer to the wind. Any tips or thoughts on this subject? Pictures????

While sailing on the lake, I quite often think a traveler would help to sail closer to the wind to cut down on the tacking.
Thanks,
Paul

Jack,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I to wish you had a picture. I can not picture, in my mind, where you could put the traveler. My mainsheet cleat is mounted on the companionway wall, between the seats. Now that you have this traveler, would you have rather chosen a differant one? I only see the Harken in the Westmarine catalog.

I installed a traveler last year. A Lewmar Oceans 1. Yes you can sail closer to the wind and also much better trim and control. I am sorry but I do not have pictures. I installed it directly in front of the Main sheet, Infact, I left the cam cleat in it's present position and reversed the sheet so that the free end came off the boom and then added a turning block to the stand up spring on the cam cleat so the cam cleat operates in the same manner. ( boy I wish I had a Picture)I have a 36" track for the traveler. I hope you can understand my clouded picture.
