Let me tell you of my adventures with SAIL CARE. I had read all the good reports on the forum about Sail Care and sent my Main Sail to have it cleaned last February. I received it back in early March and was amazed at how great it looked,Like brand new! Well, After Launch I put up my beautiful sail and horror of horrors it had shrunk! I mean shrunk, The head was 18" from the Top and the foot was 6" short. The battens stuck out 6" from the leach. I immediately called Jerry at Sail Care, He heard my sob story and told me to ship it back. That was the 4th of May. He called me this Monday the 9th and told me that the bolt rope had shrunk and that although it was not really his fault,he should have checked it better, but he would take care of it. Well take care of it he did! He replaced the bolt ropes, replaced the luff tape added new gromets and Slugs. He added bat cars with new battens and pockets and I recieved it back today, the 13th. That is sevice! It is not often you deal with such an outstanding Company. As for me, They will always have my business! Oh Yes, The sail is on and looks great! Now for the temperature to get above 40 and the rain to stop.
Jack Schafer, previous owner of 2ndWind 250WB #106,
Two years ago I sent my filthy sails to Sail Care and they came back looking like new. They re-attached all of my sail slugs using 1/2-inch webbing, like the original ones. I'd asked them to leave the bottom one off because I was using a jack line for reefing. I now have a mast gate installed and want to permanently attach the bottom slug. I asked them for another slug with the webbing stitched on, so all I would have to do is hand-stitch the loop closed. They wouldn't let me pay them for it. I received it in the mail a few days later. These folks are very service oriented. Like Jack, they will always have my business too. I highly recommend them to anyone for sail repair and cleaning. http://www.sailcare.com/
