we were at our boat today to try out our hatch umbrella. our hatch is closer to the bow than other boats. it fits perfectly on three sides. but our hatch being more forward, the spread is narrower in the front, so the front measurement needs to be narrower than the 42 inch that is standard. 31 inches to be exact. other than that it worked perfectly. a little adjustment and all is well. i know some of you were going to try to make one. so the actual measurments are 3 triangles 42 x 30 and one triangle 31 x 30. hope this helps..
