Hey just about everyone must be in the water by now and most should be planning on great Memorial Day sailing. We want to wish you all great weather, winds, and seas along with great friends and family

Both Baumgart girls are going to be in our local parade Saturday with their bands. I volunteered to pull the Band trailer - later I found out that meant pulling it IN the parade. So hopefully I'll have a pretty girl (Spike) by my side waving to the crowds. This will be my first parade. The girls have been in it before. Heidi will be on a big flatbed trailer playing "Car Wash". Amy is marching, I don't know what their band is playing.

After that we are meeting at L dock for a Fleet 7 dock party and barbeque. Lots of people will be there and most are going off and doing their own sailing thing Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I will be leaving Sat night on a mini-cruise to Mexico's Coronado Islands and plan on anchoring out over Sunday night off the islands, returning Monday. The islands are about 20 miles away and I've never been there on Indiscipline III. I got my Mexican boat permit and fishing licenses yesterday.

So this year do me a favor. Take photos of your Memorial day sails. Send them to me. I'll do up a Catalina 25/250 National Association web site update showing photos of people having fun on their boats all across the Country and hopefully around the world!

Everyone who sends in a photo (or two or three) will be in a drawing for cool Catalina 25/250 Ships Store prizes. Digital or print (I have a scanner).

Remember last year we did a National Memorial Day rally. This is this year's version of the idea.

Send in a photo even if your poor boat is still on the hard by some frozen lake.

We'll be sailing from Oriental to Ocracoke (our first ever long(ok, -ish, it's ~39nm) sail. Last one to Morehead city was mostly down the ICW. I'm bringing the digital camera, hopefully there will be enough time to get over te anxiety and remember to take pictures. Promised weather is 84 and partly cloudy with a following wind (and a following wind coming back on Monday; this would be an excellent time for NWS to be on the money)

Excellent! Sailing to Ocracoke will definitely add "aye", "avast" and "AAARGH" to your vocabulary. Watch out for Blackbeard!

Hey Rick. Why not take a picture of you (and ?) sitting in the cockpit having a drink dressed in your Tyvek suit(s). Or under it. Doesn't matter. Just a picture with boat owners and their boats is what I think is the jist of Jim's request. Do it. It would be cool to see your boat getting painted anyway.

Crap. I'm going to be 150 miles away from my boat on Memorial Day, visiting relatives. They'd better appreciate the sacrifice I'm making!

Jim, Which Nor'easter would you like a photo of. Launched Brandy on 7 May in upstate N.Y. Haven't had the sails up yet. Rain showers and/or strong winds have been very prevelant the last 2 1/2 weeks. Its not that you couldn't sail, it was getting the boat back into the slip with the wind and associated gusts blowing you sideways and downwind into the dock slip. Tried all the tricks and it just didn't work effectively. Also have a C-25 next to me which didn't help in the manuvering process either. Hopefully this weekend.

The Fleet 7 dock party was a huge success, and Indiscipline and I covered 65 nmiles in 2 days on the cruise to Mexico's Cornoado Islands along with Charlie and company on their C250. Photos and web site updates soon.

The rest of us sailed out of Mission Bay, down around Point Loma, into San Diego Bay and returned. Except Ken on Endeavor (an S2) chose to go look for an anchorage in La Playa Cove for the night.
We covered around 30 miles in the afternoon. Fantastic sailing as usual.

Nice page and pictures. We were in Morehead City over Easter, I did not know there was another C25 in the area. I think I'll start posting before we sail somewhere. Anyway, we sailed from Oriental to Ocracoke last weekend (pictures in the works, Square Knot was there as well).

The local club (NSA) is planning a sail to Cape Lookout over Labor Day, we should touch base before that. Plus I think we should plan a Neuse area C25 get-together this summer. When I know what our calendar is, I was planning to ask where people are located and when we can do it.

I'm from Harkers Island and keep the boat there... so the Cape is one of the places I go often. One of the few spots around here w/ deep water.

I hope to make a trip to Ocracoke whenever I get another long weekend.

By all means, let me know when you are in my area... I'd love to see another one of these boats. I'm often making guesses how the things is rigged up.
