Last night (Tuesday, 5/31) your officers met to discsuss Association Business. One of their actions was to accept the request of a Fleet 25 (Jacksonville/Orange Park, Florida)and the request to organize Fleet 30 (The Great Sacandaga Lake, NY). Fleets are the back bone of the National Association, and strong fleets are important to building loyalty to our yachts. On behalf of the NA officers I am pleased to recognize these two new important fleets in our organization.
I am aware of a couple of areas that are considering new or revitalized fleets. I encourage you to proceed with your planning. The process is really quite simple - 3 reglar members of the National Association, and a draft of fleet by-laws. Our Fleet Development Manual outlines decisions that may be important, but are only presented as suggestions for your benefit. Fleet Development Manuals are available from either Frank Hopper, NA Secretary or from me.
Don Peet, C25/250 2004-2005 National Association Commodore The Great Sacandaga Lake, NY
