Any opinions on inflatable kayaks?
We've been discussing getting a tender or play boat for use with our C25.
The idea being, get a boat that serves as a tender, a toy and a safety device. We boat in a lake and on the ocean. We are leaning toward kayak rather than the traditional boat shape because it is easier to propel via paddle and would probably get more use especially on those windless days and when a river presents itself.
We've looked at nesting boats and some of the smaller inflatable tenders...we like the idea of being able to stow it in the the cabin, the light weight for hauling it on deck, and the low resistance if we tow it.
We've looked at Sevylor, Jumbo, Advanced Elements and a few others and are leaning towards the Advanced Elements.

Last weekend I was rafted up next to a Catalina 250 whose owner had an inflatable canoe/kayak as a tender. I don't know what brand it was, but it looked to be very sturdy and made of rubber-impregnated fabric. It was certainly not a plain-vinyl inflatable like Sevylor makes, but more like a Hypalon fabric - very strong and heavy duty. The owner told me it rolls up into a bundle about 24" diameter and 36" long. I forget to ask how much it cost and where he bought it. It was a dark green color.

You should check out the Sea Eagle 395ps and 435PS (at the bottom of the page). They are more shaped like a tender.

Do you have difficulty getting from the kayak into your C25? How do you DO that?
