Greetings......one of the reasons, other than selling the 250, I have been here less is that I found a pretty cool forum......After getting the 42 I went over to the 42 owners forum, which as some you know was not quite my style. After that I stumbled on the Latts and Atts forum. Had a good time over there untill the politics and flaming got out of hand. In fact it got so bad, that a bunch of us went out one night, and started another forum. (The night of the long boathooks, Feb 19 2005). It is now known as the "Renegade Cruisers", with it's wholly owned subsidiary, the BMYC (Bight Me Yacht Club)....

On June 25 there will be a Mid Chesapeake raftup, somehwere near Pirate's Cove..Galesville. You are invited.... See the thread in Pauline's Pub:

Just to prove we're a real yachtclub we had some blazer crests made:

Still trying to get in to NYYC with it....

Actually the headlight is a very cool device. It has three modes, red LED's, blueish white led general lighting, and then a kryptonite beam that will go to the top of the mast (60' up). The latter is the least efficient, the red and white led's are power misers. Three AAA's will last for a week (switching on as needed of course) but doing a full night's duty.

I'm trying to remember the manufacturer, it's one of the major brands, (rayovac?) you can find it next to the registers at Lowe's.....

The rules of the 42 forum have, reluctantly, been somewhat relaxed. I suspect there was pressure at board level as a result of complaints from members.....

Even under the current rules it will never be a place to yap about boats and sailing in general, but I am cautiously optimistic that I can get and share some broadly 42 related stuff wihtout getting my you know what whacked for no good reason.
