in the last couple weeks there has been questions about how to stop the keel from burping water into the boat. i've tried the sponge to some degree of success.
but here's a great fix. went to lowes and bought a plumb pak- tank ball,2 3/8" dia. eljer-flush red valve. costs about $2.50
enlagged the center hole and removed the metal. cut a slot from outside to the center to get it around the cable. sliups on nice and forced it down into the pvc pipe. the best fix ever

Dave, Thanks a bunch for the info! I'm one of those guys who posted a question about the easiest way to stop the water from burping up the keek cable hose. Sounds like a good fix! My C-25 spent lots of time on Lake Carlisle. I bought my C-25 from a skipper over there. I think he's sailing a C-30 there now. It's a nice lake and great place to sail. I've got a buddy here in Central Indiana who sails his ODay 25 over there from time to time. I hear a depth finder is an important item on Carlisle! Thanks again for the swing keel cable plug solution!
