Blew out the main and want to get some advice on where to buy a new one. Cat direct had the Ullman off shore $659. Some one told me that if your a member of the National Assoc you can get discount from ullman. What's best order through cat direct or directly from Ullman.

about 5 months ago I bought an Ullman full batten, loose footed, double reefed tall rig main direct from Ullman for around 800 bucks
If that's what CD is selling, that's a great price. I paid extra for the extra reef, otherwise it was stock.

I have been looking at a main from National Sail Supply...

http://nationalsail.com/ushop/index.cgi?ID=XB3F26&task=show&cat=Catalina+25+Tall+Rig+Sails

From reading the CD description I'm not sure if they are Ullman made or Ullman designed. Big advantage to the CD sails is that they are likely instock.

After shredding my 28 year old main in a fast moving storm I ordered a full batten, loose foot, main from Gary at Ullman. It is a beautiful sail and arrived in less than a week. I sailed it for the first time yesterday and it performs as good as it looks. I love the loose foot. The price was also quite reasonable.
