Well I have been blessed with an early birthday present and have just received a new Harken MKIII-0 Furler to replace my 'tired' ProFurl classic that is almost 20 years old. Needless to say I am pretty excited about this new enhancement and I thought before I jumped in with both feet if anyone had installed one of these and had any lessons learned I should consider before I get started. I would be most eager to hear from anyone that has replaced a ProFurl with a Harken and how that went.
The install instructions look fairly detailed and I have had a first read and will re-read in a day or two when it is closer to time to do the install.
Finally - it looks like I might have some parts that would be worth having in my old system (the Drum looks in good condition - the extruions on the ProFurl were bent and thus the reason for the upgrade).
