Have a 1980 C25. I noticed the other day that the bolt that attaches the eye bracket for the main sheet to the aft end of the boom is loose. Trying to tighten it had no effect. Is this bolt SUPPOSED to be tight? If so, it must have a nut on the inside of the boom end cap? Looks like the cap would be easy to remove to allow tightening of the bolt. (Please pardon my lack of proper terminology for these parts...)
Jack, your suspicions are exactly right. The bolt is supposed to be loose enough for the tang to which the main sheet is attached to swing easily. If you want to tighten the nut, take the end cap offf by removing the screws on either side which hold it in place.
