Where is the best place to attatch the boom vang to the boom.

Hi Dave,

Here's a link to the page in the parts manual (another part of this website) that shows the boom vang and how to set it up.

Basically, you want the boom and mast to be the equal sides of a bilateral triangle with the vang assuming the role of the long "C" leg.
