For $375 plus potential travel fee, plus for extra prints, plus, plus, plus $$$$.

Then there is no guarantee that the weather will cooperate on the day you schedule to have your pictures taken.

I would instead spend the money on a digital camera / printer, and set myself up to be able to do this whenever I wanted ensuring that conditions were good. Then you can take as many pictures as you want until you get just the one you were looking for - and you can do it over and over again. For large printouts, Kinko's is great!

You can find someone in another boat to take your pictures out there for a few cold ones, or other niceties.

Maybe you trade taking their pictures, and then they take yours.

Lots of options!!!

For years, I've been taking pictures of others while out on the water and then anonymously dropping off an assortment of shots in their respective cockpits (8 x 10's, standard prints, video on CD). I started doing this years ago after someone anonymously dropped off a bunch of pictures in my cockpit of me on my boat. From that time on, I take my digital camera with me sailing and I probably snap a few hundred photos every weekend.

Here are a few recent shots.

Beautiful shots Don! And great idea!!!

My wife has taken shots of our slip neighbor's boats and placed them inside their cockpits. It is nice to see the expressions on their faces when they receive unsolicited nice gestures from other human beings.

Oh that's right - we are not humans, we are sailors!!
